BowTie Boys Tour Prestigous Colleges

The Bowtie Program aims to expose it’s students to the opportunities that exist through education. One example of this was a recent visit to three of the world’s most prestigious Universities. Visits to MIT, Harvard, and Yale coincided with team building activities, provided 10 students of the program a once in a lifetime experience.

5th Annual Golf Classic

The Children Deserve a Chance Foundation hosts an annual golf classic that raises money for programs which benefit our children. This year we want to thank Meadia Heights for allowing us to hold our tournament and dinner at their facility. They have been a gracious sponsor and a tremendous host for previous events as well, such as the 2010 Christmas Dinner.

This year at the Golf Classic, we welcomed Miss Pennsylvania, Amber Joi Watkins, Darrius Heyward Bey from the Oakland Raiders, Phil Costa from the Dallas Cowboys, Moise Fokou of the Philadelphia Eagles, and former Lancaster Catholic standout, Ryan Purvis of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as well as numerous sponsors and donors.

Every year at the Golf Classic, we award scholarships to four deserving high school graduates who are attending college in the fall.  We would like to thank everyone who came out and supported us in terms of volunteers, golfers, sponsors, donors, and most importantly, our BowTie Children!
